How local processing works
Your spreadsheet is opened and analyzed by JavaScript running in this browser tab. Lanes, rates and carrier names are never sent to our servers, and closing the tab clears them.
We only record anonymous counts (lanes, carriers, estimated savings) to see how the tool is used. Your file name and a results summary are sent only if you choose to submit the full-analysis form.
Privacy policyHow the analysis works
Upload your bid
Drop the lane bid spreadsheet you already send carriers: origin, destination, equipment and one column per carrier.
Benchmark every bid
Each lane gets a modeled contract range for its equipment, length of haul and origin/destination market balance.
Flag the outliers
Bids more than 10% over market are flagged for negotiation. Bids more than 12% under market are flagged as tender-rejection risk.
Award with confidence
Get the recommended carrier per lane, projected savings vs. your current rates, a carrier scorecard and an exportable report.
Methodology & file format
Benchmarks. Each lane's contract range comes from a built-in Freight Data Watch model, not live market rates: national contract rate-per-mile levels by equipment (calibrated May 2026), adjusted for length of haul and for origin and destination market balance, plus a fuel component at $5.35/gal diesel. The range is ±9% around the midpoint. These are estimates for bid screening, not quotes.
Award logic. The recommended carrier is the lowest bid that is not flagged as a tender-rejection risk. If every sustainable bid is above market, the lane is marked "Negotiate" with a counter target at the benchmark midpoint. If every bid is far below market, the lane is marked "Rejection risk".
File format. One row per lane. Origin and destination as "City, ST", ZIP, or separate city/state columns. Optional: equipment (van, reefer, flatbed), miles, annual loads, and current rate. Bids can be all-in per load or per mile (values under $20 are read as per mile). Without a miles column, distance is estimated from major freight markets or state centers.
Privacy. Files are parsed in your browser and never uploaded. The instant analysis covers up to 50 lanes free, 100 with Pro, or 1,000 with an RFP Event.
