ISS Risk Ratings
Estimate a carrier's Inspection Selection System score: how likely its trucks are to be pulled in at weigh stations.
Try an example: 3499723
How the ISS estimate works
FMCSA's Inspection Selection System gives every carrier a 1–100 score that tells roadside inspectors whether to Pass (1–49), leave it Optional (50–74) or Inspect (75–100). The real score is only shown to the carrier in the FMCSA Portal and to enforcement.
Our estimate follows the published ISS approach using public data: SMS BASIC percentiles (about half the weight), vehicle and driver out-of-service rates against the national average, and crash history. Carriers with no inspections, crashes or BASIC data are shown as Insufficient Data. Treat the result as an estimate, not an official FMCSA rating.
