Remove or Update Your Data

How carrier information on Freight Data Watch is sourced, and where to go to change it.

This is public FMCSA data

The carrier and broker information shown on Freight Data Watch — company name, address, USDOT and MC numbers, fleet size, operating authority, insurance filings, inspections, violations and crashes — is public government data published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Vehicle details in the VIN lookup come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

We fetch and display these records as FMCSA publishes them. Freight Data Watch does not own this data and cannot edit or remove it at the source. When FMCSA updates a record, the change shows up here automatically after our next data refresh.

If you have a concern about your data or your information, please contact FMCSA or the Motus registration system directly.

Update company information

To change your company name, address, phone, fleet size or operation details, file an updated MCS-150 through FMCSA's Motus registration system.

Go to Motus (motus.dot.gov)

Dispute inspections or crashes

If you believe an inspection, violation or crash record is wrong, submit a Request for Data Review through FMCSA's DataQs system.
